Role Overview

We develop and operate the Hosting Communication Platform (HCP) and are currently establishing a new Marketing Hub across the entire IONOS group. Our microservice-based network processes customer communications, generating and delivering messages via email, SMS, push notifications, and physical mail. As a product-focused team, we are responsible for advancing the platform, rolling it out across all IONOS brands, and providing our new Marketing Hub ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop stable backend services using Java and Spring Boot, responsible for evolving and deploying the platform to new brands.
• Collaborate closely with other development teams, pragmatically turning new ideas into functional solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and contribute your expertise to maintain platform stability and performance.
• Apply knowledge of frontend technologies like React to further enhance the Marketing Hub.
• Optionally, use your PHP experience to support the current PHP-based communication editor while concurrently developing new React-based modules for the Marketing Hub.

• Strong experience in Java development with Spring Boot, familiar with APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
• Motivated to contribute within a dynamic, open team, transforming small ideas into impactful features with the customer always in mind.
• Write clean, robust, and efficient code while balancing pragmatism when perfection is not feasible.
• Embrace agile methodologies and thrive in a collaborative team environment; fluent communication in both German and English is enjoyable for you.
• Skilled at gathering diverse requirements and finding effective solutions through responsible and efficient work practices.
• Analytically minded, interested in measuring the success of your implemented features shortly after deployment.
