Role Overview

The team developing the Hosting Communication Platform (HCP) and the new Marketing Hub seeks to enhance the microservice-based system that manages customer communications via email, SMS, push notifications, and postal mail. This team is product-centered and responsible for platform evolution, deployment across IONOS brands, and expanding the Marketing Hub ecosystem.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot, driving platform improvements and supporting brand rollouts.
• Collaborate closely with other development teams to innovate and pragmatically implement new ideas.
• Engage in technical design and review activities to maintain platform stability and performance quality.
• Work with frontend technologies like React to support developments in the Marketing Hub.
• Optionally, contribute with PHP experience, as the communication editor currently relies on PHP while new Marketing Hub modules utilize React.

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot development, especially with APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.
• A dynamic team player who transforms simple concepts into impactful features with customer focus.
• Produces clean, efficient, and reliable code; also pragmatic when ideal solutions are not feasible.
• Familiar with agile practices and competent at collaborative work, comfortable communicating in English and optionally German.
• Adept at interpreting diverse requirements and delivering effective technical solutions while managing responsibilities independently.
• Interest in data-driven decision-making, measuring the success of deployments shortly after release.
