Role Overview
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be crucial in safeguarding our applications and systems. Your duties include identifying security threats, conducting security assessments, and developing security solutions that support operational and development teams to implement more resilient and robust applications. This role offers the chance to engage in demanding projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce cybersecurity and information security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to embed security controls and measures throughout the software development lifecycle and operational procedures.
- Conduct various security evaluations, including penetration testing, threat modeling, and design reviews.
- Develop and maintain technical security tools to ensure key security controls such as vulnerability management and regulatory compliance are met on self-managed workstations.
- Design and deliver targeted training sessions focused on application and infrastructure security.
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid background in information security with a strong intrinsic motivation to continuously update your expertise.
- Understanding of modern agile product development with hands-on experience in DevSecOps methodologies.
- Experience performing various technical security assessments (both white-box and black-box), preferably within regulated and certified environments like KRITIS or PCI-DSS.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, ideally Python and/or Java, complemented by experience with modern virtual machines and container systems.
- A committed team player who leads by example and can effectively manage projects and stakeholders even under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, good command of English, quality awareness, self-responsibility, and ability to work in international teams.
