About the Role

As a Java & React Lead Developer at Infosys Limited based in Chennai, you will oversee a team specializing in Java and React technologies. Your role involves guiding the team through designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications while ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture a team of Java React developers in the creation and upkeep of web applications.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements for Java React-based solutions.
• Design, develop, and upgrade software solutions utilizing Java, React, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
• Develop clean, efficient code implementing business logic on Java platforms.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to guarantee application reliability and quality.
• Maintain existing applications by troubleshooting, fixing bugs, and optimizing system performance.
• Work alongside developers, DBAs, and sysadmins ensuring seamless integration of applications with systems and databases.
• Create and update technical documentation covering system design, coding standards, and user guidelines.
• Keep abreast of latest developments and best practices in Java and React technologies to recommend improvements.
• Participate in software integration, data migration, and deployment in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Proactively identify risks or challenges and suggest effective enhancements for Java React applications.
• Provide leadership fostering a productive and positive team environment.
• Manage workload, timelines, and budget adherence for projects.
• Delegate tasks efficiently and offer regular performance feedback.

Additional Responsibilities

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Subversion.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Educational background including Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, or Master of Computer Applications.
• At least 5 years working as a Java React developer with minimum 3 years experience leading teams.
• Strong command of Java and React concepts including dependency injection, asynchronous programming, and unit testing.
• Expertise in debugging and resolving issues within Java React applications.
• Proficient with development tools like IntelliJ IDEA and React CLI.
• Experience working with relational databases especially SQL Server and MySQL.
• Skilled in performance tuning and optimizing Java and React applications.
• Excellent communication abilities to explain technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
• Detail-focused commitment to producing quality software solutions.
• Proven capabilities in team leadership and mentoring.
