About the Role
Join a leading global payments company as a Software Engineer in the high-performing TITANS team, where you'll contribute significantly to shaping the future of worldwide commerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality code for new features ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive test coverage to guarantee software quality.
- Build independent software capabilities within specified timelines by applying industry best practices and continuously learning evolving principles and methodologies.
- This is a fully hands-on development role requiring strong expertise in Java, particularly Java 8 and above.
- Collaborate effectively within normal business hours with some overlap with UK working hours.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in Java versions 8, 17, or 21.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Hands-on knowledge of unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
- Strong understanding of REST API development.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn and adopt modern technologies.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical specifications and documentation.
Desirable Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with SAFe agile framework is advantageous.
- Understanding of cloud technologies.
- Basic awareness of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular JS, React JS, or Kotlin is beneficial.
Bonus
Experience in the financial technology and payments sectors is considered a plus.
