About the Role
We are hiring a senior Java Backend Developer with over a decade of experience in software development to join a stable, career-oriented IT company based in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java technologies and should have a strong background in building high-performance applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
- Create and optimize robust REST APIs and microservices.
- Handle database interactions, architecture, and application integration on the backend.
- Engage in design discussions, coding, peer reviews, testing, and providing production support.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to enhance application performance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers.
- Adhere to clean coding standards, security protocols, and software development best practices.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of proven software development experience.
- Hands-on expertise with Core Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot framework, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Experience working with SQL and relational database systems.
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines within Agile environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Candidate Profile
- Preference for candidates who have demonstrated stability with at least 3 years tenure in previous roles.
- Those with a consistent career path showing long-term commitments to past employers are highly preferred.
- Strong technical ownership mindset and dedication to long-term projects.
Compensation
The salary package can reach up to 3.1 million INR annually and will be determined based on experience, skills, and interview outcomes.
