Java Automation Engineer with Playwright

Overview

We are seeking a Java Automation Engineer with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience to join our team in Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Pune. This position involves utilizing Core Java skills alongside the Playwright automation framework to build and maintain robust automated testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft, run, and upkeep automated test scripts leveraging the Playwright framework.
• Design and improve test automation frameworks tailored for web application testing.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and the QA team to gather and clarify requirements.
• Evaluate test outcomes, identify bugs, and assist in troubleshooting and resolution.
• Ensure comprehensive automation coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing scenarios.
• Engage in code reviews and uphold best practices in automation efforts.
• Support the integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong expertise in Core Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing concepts and implementation.
• Proficiency in Playwright automation framework for end-to-end testing.
• Experience using JavaScript and TypeScript in automation contexts.
• Designing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Web UI automation and API testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, source control with Git, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) systems.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium or similar automation platforms.
• Knowledge of REST API testing utilities.
• Exposure to cloud environments and DevOps workflows.
