Role Responsibilities
- Take charge of your designated kitchen station, ensuring all meals meet established recipes, presentation, and quality standards
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and mise en place meticulously, maintaining consistency and proper portion sizes
- Guide and develop junior kitchen staff to adhere to kitchen protocols, food safety, and HACCP procedures
- Strictly comply with all hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP regulations, performing routine quality and safety checks
- Manage inventory effectively for your station, monitoring supplies to reduce waste and maintain cost efficiency without compromising quality
- Coordinate with other departments to guarantee smooth kitchen operations and timely service
- Contribute creatively to menu design while ensuring consistency with organizational standards
- Maintain composure and adaptability during high volume service times, efficiently resolving issues as they arise
- Support departmental objectives through strategic planning and focused execution
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in culinary roles within luxury hotels or fine dining environments
- Strong expertise in advanced cooking techniques and culinary methods
- In-depth knowledge of food safety practices, hygiene standards, and HACCP compliance
- Proficiency with MS Office and kitchen management software
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with effective time management
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable collaborating in diverse, multicultural teams
- Able to perform under pressure while maintaining high-quality output
- Experience with budget oversight, cost management, and inventory control
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proactive problem-solver with decisive judgment in dynamic settings
- Dedication to continuous culinary innovation and improvement
