Role Overview
As a Waiter/Waitress at Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah, your role is to deliver professional and warm food and beverage services, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued. Maintaining the resort’s service protocols and collaborating efficiently with team members to ensure smooth operations are essential parts of this position.
Core Duties
- Greet guests warmly, respond to their requests, and cultivate positive connections through attentive service.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the food and beverage offerings, suggest appropriate items, and seize opportunities to increase sales.
- Carry out opening and closing responsibilities, as well as maintain cleanliness and organization in the service area.
- Address guest complaints promptly and escalate unresolved matters to the Team Leader.
- Manage supply levels, reduce waste, and assist with equipment inventory management.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety guidelines and participate in related training sessions.
Candidate Profile
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in food and beverage service within a four or five-star hotel environment is advantageous.
- Sound understanding of food and beverage service operations including menu recommendations and upselling techniques.
- Strong communication skills complemented by a friendly, guest-centric demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations along with health and safety standards.
Additional Notes
- Willingness to work flexible rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays per operational requirements.
- Ability to adapt and assist in different F&B outlets and other hotel departments as needed.
- Maintains professional appearance and high levels of personal hygiene.
- Demonstrates teamwork, professionalism, and a guest-focused approach.
- Committed to upholding cleanliness and safety workplace standards.
- Open to ongoing training and expanding knowledge regarding menu and service protocols.
