Job Description

The Janitor role involves comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within a building or across multiple client locations. Responsibilities vary according to client needs, so flexibility and readiness to perform various assigned tasks are essential.

Working Hours & Compensation

Shift: 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday through Sunday, totaling 35 hours per week.

Compensation: $12 per hour.

Key Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of all floor types through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Adhere strictly to protocols for chemical cleaner usage and operate power equipment safely to avoid damage.
• Ensure restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entryways are clean and well-maintained.
• Dispose of trash appropriately, occasionally using compactors for suitable materials.
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors using proper tools and solutions.
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing where required.
• Keep bathroom paper products and sanitary materials well stocked.
• Follow an established housekeeping schedule diligently.
• Operate heavy cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers as needed.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned based on job scope and client requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education, or at least six months of prior janitorial experience.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
• Knowledge of custodial standards and commercial cleaning practices.
• Familiarity with floor-care methods such as buffing and waxing.
• Background in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance.
