Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons
• Full-time position
• Hourly wage: $15
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Weekly payment

The Janitor will perform comprehensive cleaning and maintenance tasks within assigned buildings or client sites. Responsibilities vary by client requirements, thus flexibility is essential in completing assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as necessary
• Adhere to procedures for using chemical cleaners and powered equipment to avoid floor or object damage
• Clean and upkeep restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entry areas
• Empty trash receptacles correctly and use compactors for designated materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate products and equipment
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks
• Replenish supplies such as paper products and sanitary items
• Follow established housekeeping schedules
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning devices including floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Perform other duties as assigned based on work scope or customer demand

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or six months’ experience in janitorial services
• On-the-job training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions thoroughly

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work
• Knowledge of commercial custodial practices and cleaning standards
• Understanding of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing
• Background in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance
