IT Transformation Program Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Transformation Program Manager responsible for overseeing and delivering complex IT transformation programs within the telecommunications sector. This position demands ensuring projects meet cost, quality, and customer satisfaction benchmarks while adhering to established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of assigned programs and projects, managing scope, time, resources, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and quality deliverables through effective change control processes.
• Establish and sustain robust governance frameworks to monitor program status and track progress rigorously, delivering timely updates to stakeholders.
• Proactively engage and influence both internal teams and external partners, including vendors, to meet project expectations and address any conflicts or challenges swiftly.
• Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure alignment with project goals and maximize their contributions.
• Drive benefit realization by formulating and executing strategies that enhance project value in collaboration with departmental leadership.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify process improvements, streamline workflows, and optimize project outcomes in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Execute additional tasks or projects as delegated by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent; a master’s degree in technology is considered advantageous.
• 10 to 15 years of pertinent experience in IT transformation initiatives, with a robust technical understanding of telecom systems, architectures, and solutions, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• At least 5 years of project management experience, including 3 to 5 years delivering large-scale, integrated, customer-facing systems.
• Experience managing partnerships, vendor relationships, outsourcing, and insourcing with familiarity in diverse engagement models and total cost of ownership management for projects.
• Proven expertise in IT application development lifecycles across various methodologies, with strong negotiation skills to facilitate effective delivery through third-party collaborations.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or Prince 2 are required.
