Job description
Position Overview
At Amazon, safeguarding the well-being of our employees is paramount. The IT Support Engineer I role is a foundational step toward a career in workplace safety within a global organization. In this position, you will collaborate closely with safety specialists to oversee site compliance with safety standards, directly contributing to employees' health and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits across the site.
- Continuously supervise site activities to ensure alignment with Amazon’s safety protocols.
- Develop and maintain detailed reports summarizing safety-related metrics for review by team members.
- Collaborate with Operations staff and other departments to enhance safety practices.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Certification such as NEBOSH (National General Certificate) or NVQ Level 3.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing data to produce and articulate safety metrics.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK Health and Safety laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with network infrastructure technologies.
- Proven ability to improve existing processes and procedures effectively.
- Skill in creating clear, concise documentation.
