IT Solutions Architect

Role Overview

This position entails architecting and designing holistic end-to-end IT solutions across varied business domains, aligning with enterprise architecture and business goals. The role involves collaborating with key IT and business stakeholders to set architectural roadmaps for multiple regions including Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia entities of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret business objectives to devise corresponding technical strategies.
• Create architectural roadmaps for assigned portfolios.
• Design solution architectures in collaboration with application and software architects.
• Oversee implementation assurance activities to maintain continual alignment of delivery teams with approved solutions.
• Manage and monitor technical debt to ensure timely resolution.
• Select appropriate technologies to meet solution needs.
• Create solution architectures and component building blocks to enrich the organizational architecture repository.
• Develop standards, guidelines, and playbooks contributing to the architecture knowledge base.
• Plan application roadmaps for designated portfolios.
• Secure approvals for solutions, application roadmaps, and architectural decisions from the architecture board.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a Solution Architect role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficient in solution architecture design with mastery of architectural and design patterns and principles.
• Expertise in solution architecture modelling using methodologies like C4, Arch42, UML, etc.
• Experience in developing standards and guidelines for architectural practices.
• Ability to design complex solution architectures involving multiple technologies across various domains including applications, infrastructure, data management, and cloud environments.
• Background in technology selection and architecture roadmap development.
• Knowledgeable in TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Familiar with the insurance industry and up-to-date on relevant technological trends within the sector.
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Eagerness and aptitude to learn new technical concepts and technologies.
