About ByteDance Procurement Team
ByteDance Procurement strives to deliver exceptional purchasing solutions across the company and build a global procurement platform. By effectively managing procurement resources, selecting quality suppliers, and monitoring supplier performance, the team enhances procurement efficiency, cost savings, and policy compliance, fostering a sustainable business environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and integrate IT supplier resources related to software, hardware, and data services worldwide based on business needs.
- Create data-driven procurement analyses to spot improvements in IT resource management and procurement workflows, then apply enhancements proactively.
- Monitor the entire procurement and delivery process, develop regional or global sourcing and supplier selection strategies, and continuously optimize these procurement procedures.
- Drive cost reduction efforts by strategically planning supplier selection and negotiations while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Manage supplier performance continuously to guarantee timely delivery and high-quality services, cultivating enduring, strong partnerships with premium suppliers.
Qualifications
Minimal Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT procurement (covering software, hardware, data services) and supplier management with thorough knowledge of the APAC market.
- Proactive and self-motivated mindset with the ability to identify issues in IT procurement and promote continuous project enhancement.
- Fluency in Mandarin is necessary for communication with Chinese mainland based stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing international IT procurement projects or working in multinational enterprises is advantageous.
- Professional procurement or project management certifications, such as CPSM, CIPS, or PMP, are preferred.
