IT Applications Manager

Job Overview

An established Middle Eastern organization is seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to join their team in Doha, Qatar. This role involves managing critical software applications to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of essential software applications ensuring they perform efficiently and meet company needs.
• Plan and implement software upgrades, patches, and updates to maintain system integrity.
• Lead and manage a team of application support specialists and developers to deliver quality support.
• Coordinate with software vendors and service providers, overseeing contracts and managing service level agreements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to collect requirements and prioritize application enhancements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, minimizing any business disruptions.
• Maintain detailed documentation covering application configurations, workflows, and user guides.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in fields such as Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or similar; a Master's degree is preferable.
• Hold certifications like PMP, Oracle certifications, or credentials related to software development methodologies.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in IT, with 5 to 7 years in a managerial position overseeing enterprise applications and teams in software/application environments of small to medium scale.
• Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Extensive experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, ERP systems, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms, hyperscaler technologies, document management systems, CRM solutions, mobile applications, business intelligence tools, and AI/GEN AI technologies.
• Experience in IT business applications and process improvement, preferably within transportation sectors.
• Excellent proficiency in English communication.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Doha and available to join immediately.
