About the Company
A rapidly expanding fintech company headquartered in the US is growing its investment research team in India, based out of Mumbai, with a hybrid work model. This group powers investment research that supports products utilized by thousands of users globally.
Role Overview
As an Investment Research Analyst, the main responsibility is to evaluate investment assets, funds, and strategies by developing analysis frameworks and screening tools which guide investment decisions and product positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on various asset classes, investment funds, and securities spanning different markets.
- Create screening tools, financial models, and perform both performance and risk assessments.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, financial flows, and portfolio metrics to inform decision-making.
- Generate investment notes, summaries, and detailed review documents.
- Collaborate with portfolio and product teams by providing data-driven insights.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 5 years experience in investment research, investment analysis, or a related financial discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis and financial modelling.
- Highly attentive to detail with a disciplined approach, comfortable navigating market data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with a reliable setup for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA certification (either candidate or charterholder) or an MBA focused on finance.
- Familiarity with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, or FactSet.
- Background in portfolio analytics or conducting fund research is advantageous.
