Role Overview

The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing stock levels and maintaining inventory integrity in the warehouse, from receiving to customer delivery or vendor returns. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role guides a team of Inventory Supervisors to implement FIFO inventory models, conduct cycle counts, improve space usage, and ensure accuracy to facilitate smooth e-commerce order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete stock control including daily and monthly cycle counts, and keep precise records of all stock movements.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to manage and reduce aging stock through vendor returns or sales promotions.
• Enhance warehouse storage efficiency and align inventory management processes with Jumia's standards, ensuring FIFO compliance and safe handling of items.
• Generate comprehensive operational reports concerning stock status, adjustments, and compliance with storage regulations.
• Lead and develop the Inventory Supervisors team and coordinate cross-functionally with Inbound, Outbound, and Aftersales departments.

Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a comparable discipline. Additional project management certificates and basic finance understanding are beneficial.
• Experience: At least 4 years in warehouse management or FMCG sectors, notably with expertise in direct-to-consumer e-commerce fulfillment, inventory systems, and forecasting techniques.
• Skills: Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and fluent in English, French, and/or Arabic depending on location.
• Personal Attributes: Strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational capability, creative problem-solving, and a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
