Job Overview
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for managing daily operational tasks to maintain an organized and efficient work environment while overseeing office equipment management. This role involves monitoring and updating inventory levels and records, ensuring the proper storage and handling of items, and optimizing warehouse space utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations to keep the workplace clean and orderly, including managing office equipment.
- Maintain and update databases, personnel files, and document filing systems accurately.
- Track inventory supplies, place orders, and replenish stock proactively.
- Use scanning devices or inventory software to update stock records, ensure correct stock rotation, and report any damaged or missing items promptly.
- Store stock appropriately, handling materials with equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys, or forklifts, aiming to maximize storage space efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 2 to 3 years of experience specifically in inventory control, stock management, or warehouse logistics.
- Proficient in operating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proven experience conducting and leading cycle counts (daily or weekly), perpetual inventory audits, and comprehensive annual physical stock takes with effective reconciliation processes.
- Skilled in identifying issues such as inventory inconsistencies, shrinkage, damages, and misplaced stock location using root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, including capabilities with XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Power Query for detailed inventory variance analysis; fundamental knowledge of SQL or data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is highly advantageous.
