Role Overview

The International A-Level Information Technology Examiner carefully evaluates candidate responses following a detailed mark scheme, ensuring adherence to recognition standards and examination protocols. While most assessments are completed electronically via ePEN from home, some subjects still require traditional paper-based marking. Expertise in the subject matter is essential for applying the marking criteria precisely. Each examiner is assigned a specific number of scripts to assess.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately and consistently mark candidate scripts to maintain overall standard quality.
• Submit sample work to the Team Leader within designated deadlines.
• Comply with milestone schedules established for marking tasks.
• Complete all necessary administrative tasks as outlined.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time teaching experience relevant to the qualification and subject, holding a degree or its equivalent.
• Alternatively, undergraduate teaching experience of at least one year within the last three years combined with a degree or equivalent.

• Effective deadline management capabilities.
• Strong subject expertise necessary to accurately implement the mark scheme.

Additional Details

• Marking season runs from May through July.
• Training to qualify as an examiner is conducted between May and June.
