Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web-based features within the Aderant Expert product following established architecture and coding best practices.
• Create and support front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks in conjunction with back-end C#/.NET logic and APIs.
• Work with Aderant Expert’s data and services, including integration with SQL Server-backed systems, to produce reliable and high-performance features.
• Write clean, consistently tested, and maintainable code, participating actively in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve issues arising from QA, support escalations, or production environments, including performing clear root cause analyses.
• Build and maintain integrations between Aderant Expert and Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook and Teams, utilizing the Microsoft Graph API.
• Implement authentication and authorization flows for Microsoft 365 integrations including OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, and single sign-on methods.
• Develop Outlook and Teams add-ins or connected experiences that embed Expert data and workflows into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and compatible with Microsoft’s platform evolution, including deprecation schedules.
• Document design choices and configuration for integrations to assist support and future maintenance.
• Engage in Agile development ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives; contribute reliably to sprint deliverables.
• Partner with QA teams on defining test scenarios and supporting both automated and manual testing efforts for new features.
• Work closely with product management and support teams to translate client requirements and feedback into functional software solutions.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines, ensuring reliable deployment of software changes.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience in software development, emphasizing web applications.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework including .NET Core.
• Experience with front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one contemporary framework such as React or Angular.
• Familiarity with designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience or strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office 365 integrations, including Microsoft Graph API and development of Outlook or Teams add-ins.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 authentication and authorization processes, particularly OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, and SSO methodologies.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server including query writing and stored procedure troubleshooting.
• Comfortable using source control tools such as Git or TFS/Azure DevOps and collaborating within development teams.
• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and aptitude for working with ambiguous requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical information clearly for non-technical audiences.
