Intermediate Estimator

Role Overview

A Main Contractor based in Cavan is seeking an Intermediate Estimator to join their estimating team. This role focuses on preparing construction cost estimates to support various tender submissions. The company is experiencing significant project growth and expanding their estimating department. The appointed candidate will report directly to the Estimating Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing for tender submissions across diverse construction projects.
• Examine tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and major cost factors.
• Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contribute to preparing comprehensive and accurate tender returns.
• Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the tendering process.
• Assist with post-tender transition activities to the commercial and site teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Prior experience as an Estimator, preferably within a main contracting environment.
• Proficient in numerical analysis, strong analytical thinking, and adept with IT tools.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between €60,000 and €70,000.
