Interior Project Manager – Retail Store Development

Job Summary

We seek a seasoned Interior Project Manager to oversee and execute interior fit-out and retail store development projects ensuring quality, timeliness, and resource optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and assess onsite conditions.
• Develop and review interior design plans, concepts, BOQs, and detailed drawings.
• Collaborate with designers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
• Research innovative materials, products, and industry trends.
• Track daily site progress, ensuring conformity with approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain daily snag lists and ensure prompt resolution of all pending issues.
• Plan and oversee project schedules and timelines.
• Address and resolve site challenges jointly with Senior Project Manager and contractors.
• Guarantee high-quality workmanship without compromise.
• Monitor material use to minimize waste.
• Supervise labor productivity and site needs.
• Enforce safety procedures and standards onsite.
• Coordinate efficient site handovers post-completion.
• Manage multiple projects and ongoing maintenance-related tasks concurrently.
• Conduct frequent site visits to verify project advancement.
• Report regularly on progress, delays, challenges, and resource requirements to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on expertise in interior fit-out and retail/commercial projects.
• Experience with civil construction, finishing works like flooring, false ceilings, partitions, painting, carpentry, and glass installation.
• Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing/MEP coordination.
• Competency in BOQ preparation and estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.
• Strong contractor and vendor management capabilities.
• Effective site execution and quality control practices.
• Project scheduling and coordination proficiency.
• Material planning and management acumen.
• Thorough snagging and project handover experience.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience managing interior fit-out or retail/commercial projects.
• Strong practical experience in site execution.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Capacity to manage contractors, vendors, and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India for project sites.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely project delivery.
