Role Overview
The Information Security Engineer will be a key member of the Cybersecurity team, reporting to the Information Security Manager and collaborating closely with the Cybersecurity Operations Lead. This hands-on position involves enhancing Gallagher's security frameworks across various platforms, cloud infrastructures, applications, and DevSecOps environments. The role encompasses a wide range of cybersecurity domains, including implementing and maintaining security controls, vulnerability remediation support, advancing automation efforts, and partnering with technical groups to maintain secure and resilient systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and optimize security systems such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, CASB, vulnerability management solutions, and firewalls.
- Support security initiatives related to cloud environments and applications, focusing on identity, access, and conditional access management.
- Assist in addressing security vulnerabilities impacting applications, cloud platforms, and systems.
- Create scripts and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
- Participate in security testing programs, including validating and addressing findings from SAST and DAST assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to fortify Gallagher’s overall security posture.
Desired Profile
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience configuring or supporting security technologies like SIEM, EDR, IAM, CASB, vulnerability management, or firewall systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and foundational application security concepts.
- Proficient in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and documentation skills to effectively work across technical teams.
- Academic background in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
