Job description

Position Overview

Tait Communications seeks an Information Security Analyst to aid in integrating Vital and Tait New Zealand into the company's Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO/IEC 27001 certification program. This position offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your expertise in information security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) by collaborating closely with business leaders, security specialists, and the Global Information Security team.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate security risk management, compliance, assurance, audit activities, including gathering evidence and monitoring remediation efforts.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement security controls, handle risk management, and fulfill compliance obligations.
  • Maintain governance documentation, risk registers, reports, and compliance metrics.
  • Assist with customer, supplier, and project security assurance and risk assessment tasks.
  • Serve as the regional liaison for information security, fostering security awareness and managing incident and compliance procedures.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess an information security certification such as (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) or equivalent, plus an ISO/IEC 27001 qualification or suitable alternative.
  • Experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit, project coordination, operations, or similar stakeholder-centric roles.
  • Strong abilities in communication and relationship management, with the capacity to influence stakeholders and simplify complex requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Understanding of information security, risk management, controls, compliance frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of ICT and security principles, including cloud services, identity and access management, networking, applications, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while following through to completion.
