Job description

Overview

At Tait Communications, our mission is to foster safer, better connected communities. As a UX Researcher within our Customer Experience team, you will delve into understanding our customers, partners, and internal teams throughout the region. Your research-driven insights will help refine our products, services, and overall customer experience.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a variety of customer and user research activities such as interviews, workshops, surveys, field observations, and usability tests.
  • Develop and maintain personas, customer journey maps, use cases, and other research documentation to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Services teams to validate design concepts, workflows, and customer-facing solutions.
  • Contribute to Voice of Customer (VoC) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives by identifying patterns, monitoring feedback, and uncovering enhancement opportunities.
  • Analyze research outcomes to deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations that influence product development and service improvement.
  • Serve as the advocate for customers and end users to ensure their viewpoints are considered throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with UX and Customer Experience colleagues across Australia, New Zealand, and North America.

Candidate Profile

We seek an individual who is curious by nature and enjoys engaging with people to comprehend customer requirements and behaviors deeply. Your background might include UX Research, Customer Experience, Human-Centered Design, Service Design, Psychology, Market Research, or related fields.

  • Proven experience conducting research employing qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews, workshops, usability testing, surveys, or discovery research.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to discern trends, themes, and potential opportunities within research and customer feedback data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to narrate findings effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence and proficiency in building relationships with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational skills to manage several research projects concurrently.
  • A collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork across diverse groups.
  • A sincere commitment to customer advocacy and making human-centered decisions.
