Job description
Overview
Accelerec Ltd. is looking for a highly skilled and driven SOC Manager to lead its Security Operations Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This permanent role is an excellent chance to oversee the protection of the company's digital infrastructure, develop a strong security team, and advance the organization's cybersecurity capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily functions of the SOC, ensuring ongoing surveillance and swift incident handling.
- Create and refine processes, playbooks, and protocols for detecting, analyzing, containing, and resolving security incidents.
- Lead, guide, and enhance a team of SOC analysts, promoting their career growth and ensuring consistent performance excellence.
- Oversee and optimize SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, and ELK Stack to improve threat detection and analysis.
- Initiate and lead proactive threat hunting efforts to detect and counter complex threats before they impact the business.
- Drive the vulnerability management program to identify and mitigate security gaps enterprise-wide.
- Work closely with security architecture and engineering teams to implement strong security controls across network, endpoint, and cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Computer Science (BSc or BCS).
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, specifically managing SOC or in similar leadership roles.
- Strong technical expertise in SIEM systems, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and network, endpoint, and cloud security architectures.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM technologies like Splunk, QRadar, or ELK Stack.
- Proficiency in automation scripting, preferably Python.
- Leadership competencies including effective communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Mandatory certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent English language skills.
- Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Additional cybersecurity certifications beyond mandatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools and implementation experience.
