Network Security Engineer

About the Role

Become a key member of our team in Riyadh as a Network Security Engineer, tasked with protecting our digital infrastructure. This permanent position provides a stimulating challenge to strengthen our security measures in a growing market environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee network security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Design and maintain security controls in cloud environments to safeguard sensitive applications and data.
• Perform routine vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and address security gaps.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts via SIEM platforms to promptly respond to potential threats.
• Conduct security audits ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Automate security operations using programming languages like Python and Bash.
• Collaborate across departments to embed security protocols into the development process and foster awareness.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Between one to three years of advancing experience in information security roles.
• Strong knowledge in network security, cloud security, firewall management, and intrusion detection.
• Experienced with vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and performing security audits.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and major cloud service providers.
• Solid grasp of security frameworks and risk management concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash for process automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as CCIE Security is a plus.
• Exposure to specialized cloud security tools applicable to our systems.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response strategies.
• Experience working in multicultural international teams.
