Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a committed Policy Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi on a full-time permanent basis. This role offers the chance to influence and shape key organizational policies by analyzing complex regulatory systems and contributing innovative solutions aligned with our goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth research and review of current policies, legislation, and industry standards to identify opportunities for enhancements and innovation.
- Create, draft, and optimize policy documents to ensure they meet company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with various internal teams and external regulatory authorities to collect input and foster agreement on policy initiatives.
- Analyze complex data and regulatory frameworks to formulate clear, actionable policy recommendations and guidelines.
- Evaluate the impact of policies post-implementation and suggest revisions to maintain effectiveness and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and communications to share findings and recommendations with leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead and manage policy-related projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in policy development, policy analysis, or related disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Skills and Experience
- Expertise in policy research, analysis methods, and data interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and governing legislation.
- Excellent abilities in report writing and engaging with stakeholders effectively.
- Proven problem-solving aptitude with critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Skilled negotiator with an understanding of data visualization techniques.
Preferred Certifications and Language
- APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
- SCPro™ Certification
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification
- Fluency in English is preferred.
