About the Role

The Internal Security Department (ISD) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Singapore's internal security by countering threats such as subversion, espionage, racial and religious extremism, and terrorism. With a history spanning over 75 years, ISD's mission is to ensure the nation's security and sovereignty for its citizens.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and processing information from various sources including open-source intelligence and investigative data. Your role requires synthesizing complex and sometimes conflicting information to produce timely, actionable intelligence. You will engage in:

• Operational analysis: Supporting investigations aimed at neutralizing security threats.
• Strategic analysis: Monitoring long-term trends to identify emerging threats and provide security assessments.
• Policy analysis: Reviewing policies impacting internal security to evaluate implications and recommend safeguarding measures.

The fast-evolving nature of security challenges means your work will be dynamic, demanding, and intellectually engaging.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a degree in any field or equivalent capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills capable of processing large volumes of data to identify key security trends and threats.
• Attention to detail is essential for accuracy and reliability.
• Interest in current affairs and security-related topics.
• Excellent writing skills for preparing concise and clear reports.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good communication and presentation skills are advantageous.
