Job Summary
The IT Planning Analyst will oversee the entire lifecycle of IT contracts, managing activities from initial requirements gathering to final contract close-out. This role is pivotal in preparing and maintaining precise contract documentation that complies with company policies and relevant standards, ensuring all legal and organizational criteria are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage every stage of IT contracting including preparation, review, and closure.
- Develop, scrutinize, and update contractual documents adhering to organizational procedures and standards.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders such as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Supply, and Legal teams to ensure clarity and precision in contracts.
- Supervise contract execution and guarantee obligations are met following agreed terms.
- Assist Contract Owners and Representatives during tender processes, working alongside Supply Focal Points and Legal to ensure accuracy and punctuality.
- Support contract execution by ensuring procurement processes are timely, SAP transactions are accurate, and procurement aligns with approved IT budgets (both OPEX and CAPEX).
- Accurately carry out contract close-out activities as per policy requirements.
- Maintain ongoing stakeholder engagement throughout contract phases, fostering clear communication and continuous improvement.
- Contribute strategically to sourcing approaches focused on risk reduction, cost efficiency, and business goal alignment.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct thorough contract evaluations to ensure compliance and value realization across all agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in IT contract management, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in the oil and gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of IT contracting principles, procurement tactics, and vendor governance.
- Understanding of IT-related contracts, covering areas such as software licensing, SaaS, cloud platforms, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement with diverse teams.
- High attention to detail combined with analytical prowess for complex contractual term interpretation and drafting.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems and contract management software, especially SAP.
- Clear grasp of CAPEX and OPEX budgeting throughout contract execution.
- Experience collaborating with legal, technical, and procurement specialists in regulated environments.
- Capability to manage sophisticated, high-value IT contracts aligning with corporate governance and risk mitigation guidelines.
- Preferred certifications include contract or procurement management credentials like IACCM/WorldCC or CIPS.
- Strong understanding of compliance and audit preparedness within contract lifecycle management.
