Information Management Lead

Job Overview

Wood is seeking an Information Management Lead for a long-term assignment based in Doha, Qatar. This role serves as the primary liaison for all IT and Information Management matters between the Contractor and the Company, specifically managing requirements related to data, documents, and models.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface for all Contractor information management communications and requirements with the Company.
• Ensure Contractor systems and processes comply with Company information delivery requirements for data, documents, and models according to contract terms.
• Establish and maintain Contractor information systems for managing data, documentation, and models effectively.
• Collaborate closely with Contractor Engineering, Design, and Drafting teams to facilitate work processes and timely deliverable production.
• Oversee project progress and status reporting related to engineering and design activities.
• Manage comprehensive handover of information to the Company, including periodic or incremental transmittals of documents and drawings.

Candidate Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as mechanical, welding, materials, or process engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial or process engineering project delivery, ideally within the oil and gas or energy industries.
• In-depth knowledge of typical project lifecycles and information lifecycle management across project stages, including handover requirements.
• Strong project management capabilities, preferably supported by CAPM, PMP, PrMP certification or substantial related training and experience.
• High proficiency with IT tools including Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite, and enterprise electronic document management and data warehousing systems.
• Familiarity with engineering and design software for disciplines such as process, instrumentation, electrical, piping, civil engineering, and 3D/CAD design.
