TPE III / PMC Electrical Engineer

Job Overview

Wood is seeking an experienced Technical Professional Engineer III specializing in Electrical Engineering to join their team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading design specifications, reviewing vendor documentation, and overseeing electrical construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs and performance specifications that meet general component, system, and process requirements.
• Critically evaluate vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Participate actively in design review meetings to provide technical expertise.
• Supervise construction phases, overseeing electrical installations and testing procedures.
• Conduct quality control inspections alongside contractors to verify construction aligns with approved codes, drawings, specifications, and health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Attend site and office meetings with contractors, documenting discussions and preparing reports and meeting minutes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering/science qualification.
• A minimum of six years of engineering experience, including at least five years in a comparable construction or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) engineering role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, international codes, standards, and procedural specifications.
• Experience working on both standalone and portfolio projects is advantageous.
