TPE V/ Principal Pipeline Engineer

Job Description

Wood is seeking a TPE V/ Principal Pipeline Engineer to join our project based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in pipeline engineering within the oil and gas sector and demonstrate technical expertise in layout, material selection, and stress analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertise in pipeline layout and material engineering.
• Proficient knowledge of stress analysis related to pipelines.
• Specialization focus developing within the engineering discipline.
• Advanced use of engineering software and calculation tools.
• Ability to interpret and analyze technical data pertaining to engineering projects.
• Practical application of engineering theory.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Experience delivering major projects using S3d/E3D environments.
• Providing discipline-specific expertise across the business.
• Applying technical knowledge to produce comprehensive engineering outputs, including complex assignments.
• Evaluation and adaptation of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Independently executing standard engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
• Originating design engineering documentation, including design, analysis, and drawings.
• Handling innovative and complex design challenges requiring creativity and technical skill.
• Developing detailed designs and performance specifications aligned with design criteria.
• Planning and executing project tasks with general guidance from policies and established precedents.
• Managing discipline-related cost and schedule targets while coordinating own work and progress reporting.
• Proposing plan modifications and cost estimates when necessary.
• Producing a range of deliverables such as specifications, calculations, technical reports, and requisitions.
• Reviewing technical specifications and resolving difficulties encountered.
• Conducting vendor document reviews and actively participating in design review meetings.
• Solving problems involving new methods by researching and interpreting technical precedents and data.
• Developing alternative technical solutions, including risk and benefit assessments.
• Demonstrating professional judgment in modifying methods and interpreting engineering information.
• In consultancy domains, potentially delivering small-scale projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, resources, and risk within management plans.
• Supporting proposals with technical input as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience working on oil and gas projects.
