Role Overview

The Bakery Clerk role involves executing a broad spectrum of duties with professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness. You will offer outstanding customer service, nurture customer loyalty, and contribute positively to both customer and employee experiences in the bakery department.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety guidelines, corporate policies, and other related programs
• Deliver customer service focused on satisfying needs and building loyalty
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive work environment
• Efficiently handle and fulfill customer bakery orders
• Execute product merchandising and promotional programs within the bakery
• Prepare and manage bakery goods responsibly
• Actively promote bakery products to help increase sales
• Assist with training new or junior staff members
• Order and receive bakery stock according to inventory control standards
• Manage department shrink processes
• Ensure a safe and clean workplace in line with company standards
• Undertake other assigned tasks as necessary
