About the Role

We are working with a prominent financial institution in the UAE that is establishing a digital-first, AI-powered financial services platform from the ground up. This position offers a rare chance to be part of the foundational team building robust operational, risk, and security measures with strong institutional support and a visionary outlook.

Role Overview

As the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Lead, you will spearhead the creation and management of the organization's IAM capabilities from inception. Collaborating closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the information security team, your mission will be to develop comprehensive frameworks, controls, and tools that guarantee proper user access aligned with strict security, governance, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage the bank's IAM frameworks, standards, and deployment tools.
  • Oversee user lifecycle processes including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding to ensure access is provisioned or revoked promptly.
  • Administer authentication systems, incorporating multi-factor authentication and secure access methods.
  • Manage privileged access controls involving session monitoring, credential vaulting, just-in-time access, and segregation of duties.
  • Execute periodic access reviews and recertification efforts, addressing unnecessary or inactive permissions.
  • Implement AI-driven access analytics and automation to enhance monitoring, detect anomalies, and enforce access governance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in Identity & Access Management or Information Security within banking or financial services, including leadership roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of IAM technologies such as authentication systems, single sign-on, MFA, and privileged access management.
  • Proven ability to develop and operate IAM frameworks compliant with regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with security standards and regulatory requirements including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), and access control mandates.
  • Expertise in access governance best practices, including recertification, segregation of duties, and audit readiness.
  • Experience working with AI-based tools for access analytics, anomaly identification, and identity automation.
