Role Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced IBM Maximo Functional Consultant with over 12 years in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) to spearhead transformative asset management projects for asset-intensive entities in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS), Asset Performance Management (APM), and MAS AI services, along with hands-on knowledge applied in transportation and infrastructure sectors such as ports, rail, metro systems, airports, fleet operations, logistics, and road management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops for business discovery, gather requirements, and design efficient processes with stakeholders from various business and operational teams.
• Evaluate existing asset management systems and suggest improvements aligned with industry EAM standards.
• Create detailed functional designs and documents like BRDs, FDDs, process maps, fit-gap analyses, user stories, and solution blueprints.
• Manage and oversee testing phases including Conference Room Pilots (CRP), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT); coordinate training, cutover readiness, and post-implementation support.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to consultants and ensure collaborative alignment with architects, technical, integration, and data teams.
• Drive functional implementation, optimization, and adoption of Maximo Manage and MAS capabilities.
• Demonstrate mastery of asset and work management including preventive maintenance, job planning, inventory, procurement, contracts, service requests, linear assets, and maintenance scheduling.
• Define organizational, site, asset hierarchies and master data structures like classifications and failure hierarchies.
• Support upgrades from Maximo 7.6.x to MAS, including process harmonization, functional assessment, testing, and business adoption.
• Ensure solutions comply with best practices while meeting business needs, security, auditing, reporting, and compliance standards.
• Formulate and implement asset performance and reliability strategies integrating analyses like FMEA and RCM.
• Develop maintenance strategies utilizing condition-based and predictive techniques powered by operational and sensor data.
• Create KPI frameworks targeting asset health, reliability, availability, maintainability, utilization, risk, cost, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve lifecycle asset decisions and minimize downtime.
• Lead functional use case development for MAS AI services including Maximo Health, Monitor, Predict, and Visual Inspection for enhanced decision-making.
• Bridge business challenges with AI-driven solutions such as anomaly detection, asset health scoring, failure prediction, and maintenance advisories, in partnership with IoT, data science, and engineering teams.
• Promote adoption of AI tools ensuring governance, interpretability, and measurable business impact.
• Apply broad expertise in transportation and infrastructure sectors, considering maintenance of mobile and linear assets, fleet, facilities, and other safety-critical infrastructure aligned with compliance and reliability goals.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 12 years in enterprise asset management or consulting focused on maintenance and asset lifecycles.
• At least 8 years of hands-on IBM Maximo functional consulting experience covering implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Deep practical knowledge of IBM Maximo Application Suite and Maximo Manage.
• Strong understanding of asset performance management, reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, condition-based and predictive maintenance concepts.
• Experience working with MAS AI modules such as Maximo Health, Monitor, Predict, or Visual Inspection.
• Proven track record delivering projects in transportation, ports, rail, metro, airports, fleet, logistics, and road infrastructure sectors.
• Skilled in leading stakeholder workshops, documenting precise requirements, crafting functional designs, and engaging senior clients.
• Experience supporting comprehensive project lifecycle phases from discovery through deployment and stabilization.
• Excellent communication skills capable of simplifying complex technical and functional topics for various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Asset Management or related fields.
• IBM Maximo or MAS functional certifications.
• Familiarity with ISO 55000 asset management standards.
• Certifications in reliability, maintenance, or asset management.
• Previous experience delivering projects in UAE or GCC with insight into local stakeholder expectations.
