Role Overview
The HVAC Installation Engineer will be tasked with installing and commissioning HVAC systems within retail, commercial, and pharmaceutical settings. A vital focus will be on delivering superior quality installations adhering to safety standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission split-type and multi-type air conditioning systems.
- Perform installation tasks involving pipework, brackets, cabling, and related mechanical and electrical works.
- Accurately complete site surveys, commissioning records, and installation documentation.
- Contribute to the quotation process by spotting opportunities for repairs, replacements, or upgrades.
- Communicate effectively with clients, on-site contacts, and other contractors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, safe, and high-standard project delivery.
- Mentor apprentices or junior technicians to support their growth and skill development.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant City & Guilds or comparable certifications in HVAC.
- Demonstrable experience in comprehensive HVAC system installation.
- Proficiency with DX systems, split, VRF/VRV systems, air handling units (AHUs), and ventilation equipment.
- Experience in commissioning HVAC machinery.
- Able to interpret technical documents such as electrical and fluid schematics, piping diagrams, and psychrometric charts.
- Strong written and verbal communication of technical information.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in IT and computer applications.
- Possess a full, clean Irish driving license.
