Job description
Position Overview
This role involves supporting management and leadership teams in handling and resolving Human Resources related issues. Responsibilities include assisting employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures, supervising recruitment activities, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws, along with company policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist management and leaders in resolving HR-related concerns and issues.
- Support employees with internal and external job transfer requests and procedures.
- Oversee hiring processes and address related problems in collaboration with managers and supervisors.
- Coordinate and conduct drug screenings, reference and background checks, motor vehicle department checks, and social security verifications.
- Maintain records related to applicant flow, drug tests, orientations, and transfer applications.
- Create and maintain employee personnel files and input data into HR information systems.
- Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new hires.
- Ensure all hiring procedures comply with laws and company standards.
- Keep accurate and complete employee records, including interview documents and I-9 forms.
- Support payroll processing and record maintenance as required by organizational policies.
- Inform HR managers about employee relations issues within the division or property.
- Manage filing systems and generate HR data reports as necessary.
- Handle telephone communications and message recording professionally.
- Type and prepare correspondence using computer systems.
- Serve as a HR subject matter expert and participate in project teams.
- Train new employees on HR processes, policies, programs, and systems.
- Adhere to all company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential company information.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and review of documentation.
- Develop and sustain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Physically move objects weighing up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) as needed.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.
Desired Aptitudes and Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in a related field.
- No experience as a supervisor is required.
- No specific licenses or certifications are necessary.
