Role Overview

Based in London, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic consultant to the management, enhancing the organizational effectiveness of JD's UK operations. This pivotal link between local business strategies and global HR frameworks focuses on nurturing a culture of high performance while managing rapid growth and operational efficiency. This role is suited to proactive individuals comfortable with multicultural challenges and eager to influence JD’s growth using advanced talent management and innovative problem-solving.

Primary Duties

  • Work closely with local leaders to grasp business goals and provide actionable HR strategies to improve organizational agility and competitiveness within retail and logistics sectors.
  • Lead talent acquisition and development efforts locally; implement performance management, identify high potentials, and manage succession planning to strengthen leadership.
  • Manage complex stakeholder collaborations between local departments and global teams to ensure flawless HR project execution.
  • Foster a dynamic, inclusive workplace culture aligned with JD's global values by creating targeted employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on UK employment laws, compensation, benefits, and HR policies while leading change management to integrate global processes with UK requirements.
  • Apply HR analytics to detect trends and proactively suggest improvements for HR operations and talent workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or logistics sectors, combining exposure to both large corporations and rapidly scaling companies.
  • Expertise in at least one specialized HR function such as talent management, organizational design, or compensation structures.
  • Exceptional cognitive abilities and aptitude for quick learning, capable of managing complex interpersonal relationships and building trust with senior leaders under fast-paced conditions.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related disciplines from an accredited institution.
  • Fluent English communication skills, alongside strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices appropriate to the local market.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to significantly boost productivity.
