HSE Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly capable HSE Lead to oversee and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies at our manufacturing site, ensuring adherence to all regulations and promoting a secure and responsible workplace environment.

Primary Duties

• Direct and enforce the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System within the facility.
• Maintain compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, standards, and company guidelines.
• Identify and evaluate risks related to operations, machinery, chemicals, and production processes, and apply suitable controls.
• Lead comprehensive Risk Assessments and ensure proper execution of mitigation strategies.
• Conduct routine HSE inspections and audits, ensuring timely correction of any findings.
• Manage investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, including conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective measures.
• Track and analyze HSE key performance indicators, prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Develop, update, and implement Emergency Response and Preparedness Plans, organizing emergency drills as needed.
• Enforce the Permit to Work system for activities involving elevated risk.
• Supervise machinery safety, guarding, and equipment safety protocols.
• Facilitate HSE inductions, deliver training sessions, conduct toolbox talks, and promote safety awareness programs.
• Champion safety culture improvements and continuous development initiatives across all departments.
• Offer HSE leadership and expert advice to operations, maintenance, engineering, and other teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid professional certifications in Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Between seven to ten years of professional experience in HSE roles, especially within manufacturing or industrial settings.
