Role Overview
The HR Specialist is accountable for developing and refining human resources policies and practical tools under the supervision of the Senior Policy Analyst. This involves designing HR processes, procedures, flowcharts, and documentation to support effective personnel management. Additionally, the specialist provides essential administrative assistance to the HR Department ensuring seamless functioning of HR operations, coordinating activities, managing documentation, and supporting HR programs.
Key Duties
- Analyze and benchmark existing HR policies and employee benefits against industry standards to recommend enhancements that improve organizational competitiveness.
- Collaborate in crafting HR policies, systems, and procedures aligned with company goals and compliant with local labor laws, focusing on employment, compensation, employee relations, and HR services.
- Create detailed manuals and guidelines that clearly communicate policy provisions to employees and management.
- Prepare and distribute directives to department leaders to ensure proper understanding and application of HR policies.
- Manage the onboarding process by organizing orientation, preparing welcome materials, and coordinating necessary new hire documentation.
- Support offboarding efforts including conducting exit interviews, ensuring return of company assets, and updating employee records accordingly.
- Address verbal and written inquiries concerning HR policies, resolving conflicts where policies intersect with legal requirements.
- Design and assess HR-related workflows and documentation to promote policy adherence.
- Guarantee that all HR policies meet government regulations and legal standards in content and presentation.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support within the HR team to maintain efficient processes and seamless service.
- Authorize processing related to retirements, insurance claims, health benefits, and workplace injury compensations.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant laws and company policies while maintaining thorough records in line with data privacy mandates.
- Facilitate processing of retirement and pension payments, as well as final settlements, resignation records, and service terminations as per company policies.
- Assist retired employees in resolving any outstanding dues and settlements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related fields; postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration or HR are advantageous.
- Extensive professional experience exceeding 10 years in a comparable HR role.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic is desirable.
Required Competencies
- Strong time management and scheduling capabilities.
- Experience with budgeting and fiscal oversight.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and risk management practices.
- Advanced expertise in ERP and HR information systems.
- Sound judgment in administrative and procedural decision-making aimed at process improvements.
- Highly organized with solid coordination skills.
