Job description
Position Summary and Duties
The HR Officer is responsible for establishing and managing filing systems and preparing office correspondence using computers. This role involves dispatching and routing mail, ordering and tracking HR office supplies and forms, answering phone calls, and logging messages. The successful candidate will create new employee personnel files and assist walk-in candidates during application procedures, ensuring the designated application area is clean, accessible, and safe for individuals with disabilities.
This position also requires responding to inquiries from employees and management concerning company HR programs, policies, and guidelines, and reporting any employee relations issues to HR management. Maintaining confidentiality and security of employee and company records is essential. Accurate upkeep of employee documentation such as interview papers and employment eligibility verification (I-9 documents) is expected.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management promptly.
- Greet all guests following company standards and communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written forms.
- Develop and sustain positive working relationships to support team objectives and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
- Meet quality expectations and standards consistently.
- Utilize computers and point of sale systems effectively to enter and retrieve work-related information.
- Handle physical tasks involving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
