Division Overview

Harnessing over four decades of expertise in semiconductor process control, KLA’s Global Products Group (GPG) empowers chip manufacturers globally to swiftly and cost-effectively bring advanced devices to production scale. The LS-SWIFT Division within GPG offers patterned wafer inspection technologies optimized for high-volume semiconductor production. Its mission centers around delivering industry-leading cost efficiencies in defect detection across diverse applications spanning foundry, logic, memory, automotive, MEMS, and advanced packaging markets. The LS systems use laser scanning techniques for meticulous defect detection suited to advanced technologies in logic, DRAM, NAND, and foundry fabs, while SWIFT systems perform comprehensive macro inspections on wafer surfaces critical for automotive ICs and other specialized processes. Operating with a global presence—including locations in the US, Singapore, India, and Germany—LS-SWIFT serves a worldwide clientele across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain tailored Windows operating system images and deployment frameworks for KLA hardware platforms.
• Create and maintain PowerShell automation scripts, diagnostic utilities, and system management tools to boost deployment effectiveness and system dependability.
• Lead rigorous validation, perform thorough testing, and conduct root cause analyses to guarantee solutions are robust and maintainable.
• Partner closely with hardware engineers, software developers, manufacturing, and system integration teams to troubleshoot complex system-level challenges and enhance product readiness.
• Document technical procedures, engage in architectural and design reviews, and support engineering best practices including mentoring colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of computer architecture, hardware components, operating systems, network fundamentals, and performance metrics at a system level.
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting alongside proficiency in at least one additional language such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with Windows OS deployment, system customization, troubleshooting, automation, and bridging hardware/software integration.
• Proven capability to independently resolve complex technical issues, effectively communicate across multidisciplinary teams, and manage projects through development to implementation stages.

Educational Qualifications

• Doctorate degree holders require no prior work experience.
• Master's degree holders should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree holders should possess at least five years of pertinent professional experience.
