Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role

This position entails leading and overseeing the daily housekeeping operations on floors or public areas, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and adherence to standards. The role supports Assistants Executive Housekeepers and Executive Housekeepers in departmental planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee tasks for supervisory and non-supervisory staff efficiently, ensuring prompt and courteous service to guests and other departments.
• Inspect public areas and floors to verify that furnishings, equipment, and facilities are clean, properly maintained, and refurbished or replaced as necessary.
• On floors, pay special attention to rooms assigned to VIP, VVIP, and frequent guests to meet hotel standards.
• Collaborate with housekeeping sections and other departments regarding hotel appearance and room status, keeping communication clear and addressing outstanding issues such as confirming room status or repair work.
• Support Assistant Executive Housekeepers in recruitment, performance management, training needs identification, training planning, and delivery.
• Conduct monthly training sessions for existing staff to address identified training needs.
• Schedule routine inspections by supervisors of all housekeeping areas, including both occupied and unoccupied rooms.
• Control the usage of amenities and cleaning supplies to comply with budget constraints and ensure proper use of equipment and tools.
• Help monitor housekeeping procedures such as Lost and Found, Key Control, Security, Emergency protocols, and Health and Safety policies for employees and guests.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the hotel and business needs.
