Role Overview
As Housekeeping Operations Manager, you will lead a hybrid team of internal staff and external cleaning contractors, ensuring exceptional cleanliness standards throughout guest rooms and public areas. Your role includes managing procurement, controlling invoices and deliveries, coordinating maintenance in liaison with hotel technical staff, overseeing decorative elements, and handling lost and found processes—all while maintaining budget adherence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the housekeeping team comprising both in-house employees and external cleaning partners equally.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to guarantee the highest Ruby housekeeping quality standards.
- Manage procurement activities, verifying delivery notes and services, while ensuring strict compliance with the housekeeping budget.
- Collaborate regularly with the hotel technical department regarding upkeep and repairs.
- Work closely with the Rooms Division Office at the Corporate Office in Munich.
- Handle plant care, floral arrangements, and seasonal decorations within the hotel.
- Administer lost and found items and their forwarding, ensuring nothing is misplaced.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a lifestyle hotel environment.
- Demonstrate a passion for cleanliness and order, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exhibit awareness of cost efficiency and eco-conscious practices.
- Show strong communication skills, assertiveness, and flexibility, especially under pressure.
- Maintain a confident presence with lots of enthusiasm and a good sense of humor.
- Enjoy working with international guests and adept at addressing diverse requests thoughtfully.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
