Job Overview
The role of Housekeeping Executive involves inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel spaces after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards. This position requires managing room status reports, prioritizing cleaning schedules, and coordinating effectively between departments including Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
Key Duties
- Monitor cleanliness and quality of guest rooms and public spaces.
- Analyze sold room reports to verify and update room statuses.
- Identify and document any discrepancies in room conditions and coordinate resolutions with Front Desk.
- Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including employee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Serve as a communication bridge between departments for housekeeping-related concerns.
- Complete necessary paperwork and prepare room assignment updates.
- Comply with all company safety guidelines and report hazards or incidents promptly.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of sensitive company information.
- Interact professionally with guests, anticipating and addressing service needs.
- Perform physical tasks including moving objects weighing up to 55 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
- Operate housekeeping equipment across various surfaces.
- Utilize computers and point of sale systems for work-related information management.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent credential (G.E.D.).
- Minimum of one year experience in a related housekeeping or supervisory role.
- Effective supervisory skills and experience.
