Job Overview

The role of Housekeeping Attendant involves carrying out various cleaning tasks across business premises to ensure a clean, tidy, and safe environment while maintaining proper records and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning activities within assigned business areas, keeping premises and equipment orderly.
• Manage guest complaints and requests courteously and professionally.
• Keep inventory records up to date.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and company protocols related to cleanliness and workplace standards.
• Maintain hygiene of all lounge spaces such as seating, dining, restrooms, showers, family suites, smoking areas, and staff zones.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste according to airport environmental and recycling standards.
• Comply with HACCP and municipal food safety standards when cleaning food and beverage zones and equipment.
• Safely operate cleaning machinery like floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and extractors.
• Handle cleaning chemicals responsibly in accordance with Safety Data Sheets and company guidelines.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Manage soiled linens and uniforms by submitting and collecting them from laundry while maintaining precise records for inventory tracking.
• Replenish guest amenities regularly, including tissues, soaps, towels, and shower products.
• Frequently clean and sanitize restrooms and shower rooms to uphold high hygiene standards.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all high-contact areas, furniture, windows, and fixtures within the lounge.
• Follow all standard operating procedures, safety, hygiene, and quality standards mandated by lounge and airport authorities.
• Complete cleaning duties accurately in alignment with departmental schedules and checklists.
• Maintain logs and documentation such as cleaning checklists, restroom inspections, and chemical usage records for traceability.
• Report any equipment failure or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors or duty managers.
• Provide support during busy times by rapidly preparing seating, tables, showers, and rest areas.
• Contribute to special cleaning projects like deep cleaning, upholstery, carpet extraction, and polishing as assigned.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain professional conduct when working near occupied areas.
• Adhere to lost and found protocols for discovered items during cleaning.
• Follow airport safety rules, emergency procedures, and security measures rigorously at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Secondary school completion (High School Certificate).
• At least one year of experience in a similar housekeeping role.
• Effective spoken and written communication skills in English.
• Basic proficiency with computer operations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
• Positive, independent, and efficient work attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts as required.
• Work location: Airport setting.
