Housekeeping Associate

Position Overview

Join the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Bengaluru as a Housekeeping Associate, delivering exceptional guest service through meticulous room preparation and maintenance. This full-time role requires prompt response to guest and interdepartmental requests and ensuring guests enjoy a pristine environment in their rooms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Prepare and transport housekeeping carts stocked with supplies to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms by following strict procedures to ensure authorized access and confirm vacancy.
• Restock guest amenities and room supplies.
• Remove soiled linens and replace with clean ones; make beds and fold towels precisely.
• Clean bathrooms thoroughly and remove trash, including used room service items.
• Verify all appliances in rooms are present and working properly.
• Organize and tidy desks, furniture, and appliances; dust, polish, and eliminate marks from walls and furnishings.
• Vacuum carpets and perform various floor care duties in both guest rooms and hallways.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Complete required safety training and correctly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protecting confidential information at all times.
• Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation upon guest departure.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common objectives.
• Meet quality standards consistently.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds independently, heavier items with assistance, and pushing/pulling loaded carts over uneven surfaces.
• Engage in physical activities such as reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods during shifts.
• Utilize fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to manage objects of varying sizes and weights.
• Assist with other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• No previous related work or supervisory experience is necessary.
• No licenses or certifications are needed.
