Housekeeping Assistant

About the Role

In this role, you will ensure our residents’ homes and shared spaces maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Your meticulous nature, pride in your work, and friendly demeanor will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that residents can truly call home.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep assigned areas clean, tidy, hygienic, and inviting.
• Perform housekeeping tasks inside residents’ homes with care and respect for their privacy.
• Maintain communal spaces so they are consistently neat, orderly, and well-maintained.
• Clean floors using methods such as vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and furniture polishing.
• Empty and reline waste bins according to proper disposal guidelines.
• Clean reachable windows and glass surfaces.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently and to a high standard.
• Follow COSHH regulations and uphold a safe working environment at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience as a Housekeeping Assistant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner.
• Self-driven, personable, and able to communicate effectively with residents, peers, and visitors.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and shift schedules.
• Basic knowledge of infection control, COSHH, and compliance is preferred; comprehensive training will be provided.
